Julie Murray

Julie MurrayJulie Murray is a commercialization and leadership strategist and the founder of Velocity Coaching and Consulting which evolved to Velocity P3 in 2009. She has 24 years of healthcare industry experience in sales, marketing, executive leadership, strategic planning, leadership development and business development. Julie started her career as a sales representative and progressed through multiple functions and therapeutic areas with increasing responsibility. Her most recent corporate positions were Vice President of Sales and Vice President of Marketing for GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals where she had over $2 billion in P&L responsibility. Julie has a long history of developing high performing leaders, teams and brands. Key accomplishments have included positioning multi-million dollar brands to achieve market leadership status, motivating matrix teams through critical collaborations and reorganizations, developing high impact leaders during times of transformation and creating key talent initiatives to accelerate leadership readiness.

Julie is a trained and certified coach through the International Coach Federation with certifications in ESCI, MBTI and PCSI. She is also affiliated with the Healthcare Business Women’s Association and Center for Entrepreneurial Development.



Marlene DeSimone

Marlene is a commercialization and patient adherence strategist with 23 years of healthcare industry experience in sales, marketing, executive leadership management, payer markets, disease management and business development. Prior to joining Velocity P3, she served as the Senior Vice President of Sales and New Business Development at Alere (formerly Matria Healthcare Inc.) and was responsible for the Commercial, Health Plan and Biopharmaceutical verticals offering a full suite of wellness, disease management and patient driven compliance and persistency programs. Prior to joining Matria, Marlene was the vice president of Global Strategic Solutions with Dendrite International, Inc. Her experience also includes tenure at Synavant, DigitalDoctor.com, Lewis Gace Bozell Healthcare and Schering-Plough Corporation holding various sales and marketing management level positions where she had over $1 billion in P&L responsibility.

Marlene earned a BS in Nursing from The American University in Washington, D.C. She is the author of publications including; “Capturing a Stronger Internet Presence through One-to-One Marketing”, Pharmaceutical Executive eHealth Supplement, “Finding the ROI in Resource Allocation”, Pharmaceutical Executive, and “Integrated Marketing: Creating a Unified Strategy”, PharmaVOICE.

Marlene is a member and has served on the Board of Director’s for the Atlanta Chapter of the Healthcare Business Women’s Association (HBA) and is a Foundation Associate of the Women Business Leaders of the U.S.
